We have had many guests stay at our Reading Hotel that need to catch a flight from Heathrow Airport. We often get asked what the best way is to Heathrow Airport from the hotel? Reading has excellent links to Heathrow Airport. It is recommended that you check in 3 hours before your scheduled departure flight. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to keep you occupied at the airport.

Rail Air Reading to Heathrow

Rail Air is a non-stop air-conditioned coach service from Reading Station to Heathrow Airport. With free Wi-Fi. The coaches depart from Reading every 20 minutes from 4 am until 11 pm, 7 days a week. You will be dropped off right outside of the door at terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5. If your flight departs from terminal 4 you will be able to catch a free connecting transfer to the terminal on the Heathrow Express.

The journey time is approximately 45 minutes, a single ticket is from £19 and a return is £27. An early bird return is £15.50, you have to purchase it at least 60 days in advance. The return date must be within 90 days. You can buy your ticket on the day at the Rail Air lounge at Reading Station. There is a Rail Air waiting room at Reading Railway Station. With free Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points. Free hot and cold drinks and newspapers are also available.

Reading to Heathrow Taxi

If you want to travel to the airport from Reading stress-free, you can catch a taxi from the Hotel straight to the Airport. It would take approximately 35 minutes depending on traffic. We would recommend Loddon Cars www.loddoncars.com a taxi from Hillingdon Prince to Heathrow will cost approximately £38 each way.

Reading to Heathrow Coach

The National Express takes approximately 40-45 minutes, depending on traffic. A single journey is from £8 depending on the day and time you travel. The nearest coach stop is Mereoak, Three Mile Cross which is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The coaches have air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and are suitable for wheelchairs. The coaches run frequently.

If you are coming to the hotel from Heathrow you can find the bus stops below:

Central Bus Station at Heathrow which is a 5-minute walk from the terminal building.
If you arrive at terminal 4 the Coaches stop 13 and 14 which are right outside the terminal buildings at arrivals.
There are free transfers to the Central Bus Station and terminal 5, which can be taken from stop 7 outside arrivals.

If you need to go to terminal 5, the coaches use stops 11-15, which are right outside the terminal buildings at arrivals.
